El exsecrtetario de prensa de la Casa Blanca, Ari Fleischer, relató las horas previas del presidente del entonces presidente de Estados Unidos. George Bush antes del ataque terrorista del 11 de septiembre.
En su cuenta en Twitter, narró cronológicamente todo lo que ocurrió ese día, desde el momento cuando despegaron los aviones secuestrados hasta el instante cuando el mandatario se enteró del incidente.
«No sabíamos el alcance del daño y esperábamos que fuera causado quizás por una avioneta que se desvió de su curso por alguna razón».
Bush terminó la conversació y entró al salón 301 de la escuela primaria Emma E. Booker.

I hopped out of my car and headed for POTUS to tell him. The President was shaking hands with the principal of the school and others who were there to meet him. After he finished shaking hands, Karl Rove gave the President the news.

Everywhere presidents go, a holding room is set up, protected by the USSS (Secret Service) with secure phone lines pre-installed. POTUS went into the hold to talk on the phone with national security advisor Condi Rice. At that point, all of us presumed an accident occured.
