Tiendas, restaurantes e iglesias reabrieron sus puertas el lunes en Italia, en medio de cautelosas medidas para aliviar el confinamiento por la pandemia de coronavirus.
Los italianos pudieron volver tomar su capuchino matutino en los bares, aunque a cierta distancia el uno del otro, en lo que el primer ministro Giuseppe Conte admitió el fin de semana que es un “riesgo calculado” del desconfinamiento.
“No he trabajado por dos meses y medio. Es un día hermoso y emocionante”, dijo Valentino Casanova, un barman en Caffe Canova, en la céntrica Piazza del Popolo de Roma.
El primer ministro italiano, Giuseppe Conte, celebró por su parte la reapertura del país como un “primer paso” antes de avanzar con más rapidez tras casi dos meses y medio de bloqueo por la pandemia del coronavirus, pero avisó de que los próximos meses serán “muy duros”.
“Serán meses muy duros y complejos, no debemos ignorarlo”, dijo en una carta abierta al diario Leggo, distribuido gratuitamente en las ciudades y especialmente en el transporte público, muy usado por los trabajadores que este lunes vuelven a sus puestos.
Italia, con 225.435 contagios de coronavirus y más de 31.000 muertos desde el comienzo de la crisis el 21 de febrero, ha retomado desde hoy gran parte de las actividades comerciales del país, al constatar una contracción de la curva epidemiológica.
Desde que se decretara el confinamiento, el 9 de marzo pasado, quedaron abiertas las tiendas de primera necesidad, alimentarios o farmacias, y poco a poco se ha ido reanudando otros sectores, como el de la construcción o las manufacturas el 4 de mayo.
