El distrito de Manhattan (Nueva York, Estados Unidos) ha sufrido un apagón “al menos parcial”, la noche de este sábado 13 de julio.
Hasta el momento se desconocen las causas que han provocado este corte en el suministro eléctrico, pero varias personas presentes en la zona aseguran que han escuchado una gran explosión justo antes de quedarse sin luz.
a red de metro de esta ciudad se ha visto afectada y muchos de los convoyes han quedado paralizados por la falta de luz. Entre los edificios afectados se encuentra el Rockefeller Center, uno de los inmuebles neoyorquinos más emblemáticos.
Este corte de energía tiene lugar en el 42.º aniversario de otro apagón que sumió Nueva York y el condado de Westchester en la oscuridad la noche del 13 a 14 de julio de 1977.
